Policy Statement for Equal Opportunity Employment

It is the policy of the INTERMET Corporation and its facilities to provide Equal Employment Opportunity in full compliance with The Civil Rights Act of 1964, The Age Discrimination in Employment Act of 1967, The Rehabilitation Act of 1973, The Vietnam Era Veterans Readjustment Act of 1974, The Americans with Disabilities Act of 1990, and the Presidential Executive Orders and the Regulations of the Office of Federal Contract Compliance Programs.

The purpose of this policy is to avoid discrimination and extend equal employment opportunities to all applicants for employment and to all employees on the basis of individual merit and qualification.

In order to implement this policy, all INTERMET facilities have separate written Affirmative Action Programs to ensure that all employees are recruited, hired, selected for training, transferred, upgraded, granted privileges of employment, laid off, demoted or discharged without regard to their race, color, religion, sex, disability, national origin, age, veteran status or any other characteristic protected by law.

INTERMET personnel in all levels of management and employment are urged to cooperate fully in the fulfillment of Affirmative Action Programs in this Company's plants, offices or other facilities. Applicants for employment and employees are protected from coercion, intimidation, interference or discrimination for filing a complaint or assisting in an investigation under any of the above mentioned acts, executive orders or regulations.

This policy is based upon moral commitments as well as legal requirements applicable to the Company and to all employees. The Affirmative Action Programs are on file at the Human Resources Office and may be reviewed during normal human resources department hours.
